My research explores computational approaches to better understand and optimize mammalian cell systems used in biopharmaceutical production.

Current projects include:

  • Developing kinetic models to connect HEK-293 host cell behaviour with rAAV production.

  • Designing feed strategies that shift CHO cells into more efficient metabolic states for mAb production.

  • Applying inverse optimization to identify key drivers of mammalian cell metabolism.

  • Creating multi-scale models to link bioreactor hydrodynamics with cell kinetics and protein glycosylation.
